The Still Us Foundation grows directly from The Engaged Brains Project (2024–2025), a community volunteer initiative generously supported by The Foundation of FirstHealth. We remain deeply grateful for their critical initial investment in this mission. We have proved the concept, now we need a home to continue and expand the work.

The Engaged Brains Project achieved measurable, county-wide impact. A few highlights:
- Mobilized 60 Community Champions, each completing 16 hours of advanced dementia-care training through Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care, who launched local and regional inclusion initiatives
- Trained more than 3,000 individuals including healthcare providers, students, faith leaders, and community members in person-centered dementia care
- Delivered 50+ public presentations and keynote programs across civic, faith, and professional organizations
